Dr. Maniei earned her doctorate degree from Indiana University and went on to pursue extensive advanced training. Driven by a lifelong passion for learning and professional growth, she completed two post doctoral fellowships, one in Family and Couple Therapy and another one in Behavioral Medicine.
As an adjunct faculty member, Dr. Maniei taught in the Psychology Department at the University of Lowell from 1987 to 1991. She later served for 20 years (1995-2015) as a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School, where she supervised and trained interns and post- doctoral fellows in the Behavioral Medicine Program at Cambridge Health Alliance. She continued her academic affiliation as a Teaching Associate in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Cambridge Health Alliance through June 2024.
Dr. Maniei remains committed to staying current with the latest treatment models and evidence-based approaches to ensure the highest quality of care for her patients. Her primary areas of expertise and clinical interest include anxiety and depression.
